De Schakel, https://www.kerkenbuurtwesterpark.nl/de-schakel/, yet another homeless centre in my home town Amsterdam, nice place for free coffee, as usual it tastes like dishwater but who cares, and sandwiches, dry and stale Appie Heyn donated bread out of date, with choco, marmelate and peanut butter, Yak,  

As usual I sit outside trying hard to get the stale bread down my throat, feeding parts of this uneatable shit to the sickly looking city pigeons, wondering if they look so out of sorts because of their diet of homeless food rejects, 

Watching the mayhem of the homeless world waking up, downing the first beers of the day, while I wash down my sandwiches with the dishwater coffee...

maybe a quick sketch of one of these avian city rejects while they flutter around me fighting among themselves for the stale bread crumps...
