By one thirty I reach another break in my daily city walk, the Order Of Mother Theresa, in the old Amsterdam quarter called De Jordaan, where at 14.30 h. the Sisters Of Mercy hand out free food to those who really need it, the drunks, the homeless, junkies, free loaders like me, and assorted dregs of the society, the scum and the hopeless of the Amsterdam streets. Those that have lost it all can enter here where Give Up All Hope You Who Enter is the norm rather than the rule....
Fights in the line are frequent with one of the sisters trying in vain to keep order where there is no hope or order to begin with, Please Brothers No Fighting, Think About Our Neighbors...
