Painting a cactus
Acrylics on paper. A4 format.
Every time I draw or paint a cactus I am reminded of my bicycle tour down the Baja, sun in my face while struggling up the cactus covered Colinas, the Sierras, enjoying the sight of roadrunners and californian quail crossing the road, far out at sea the humpback whales swimming down to their tradional wintering places accompanied by huge shoals of travel companions, dolfins....at night half asleep on mexican Dos Esquis beer i could hear coyotes swarming around my tent, checking my empty beer cans for some last drops I guess. According to the mexicans we were talking about Chupacabras...hahaha. I was young and adventurous then.

More and more paintings of monkeys, I can't get enough of them....on the Unholy Facebook I make them my profile photo every time I paint a new one...my customers at the Anne Frank House love them so I will continue painting them for some time yet.
